It’s been over 20 years since the release of the first Warcraft game, Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, was introduced to gamers around the world, and the franchise showed no signs of slowing down after the release of the first MMO of the series, World of Warcraft, 10 years later in 2004. With multiple in-universe games, expansions, and even a feature length film hitting theaters this summer, it’s amazing to see how big the fanbase of this game remains to this day. Today on The Leaderboard, we’ve carefully crafted out own list of the 17 reasons why WoW is the most successful MMO ever, and probably will always be.
